- The SLRD is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced firms for the implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure on the water service connections within the service area. This effort is part of the Water Meter Pilot Project launched by the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs of British Columbia to promote water metering by providing funding for universal metering to selected water systems across British Columbia. The primary drivers for the SLRD's Water Metering Program are to: 1. Reduce per capita water use. 2. Manage system water loss. 3. Optimize water system operation and management. The scope of the project is to be completed by March 31, 2027
