Request for Proposals - Project Manager (PM)
Our Police Station, located at 126 Millennium Drive, Quispamsis opened on June 13th, 2005. It is a one level structure. At that time, the KRPF building housed 39 officers and 4 administrative staff. In 2023, the total number of employees is 51.
The services we deliver have grown exponentially, which translates into having to repurpose offices and storage spaces. The need for additional secure storage space is largely because case file retention periods can run up to 99 years. We are facing risk with a lack of appropriate and safe space for the expanded Force. The situation with our existing building and the lack of space and safe storage has become unstainable.
The project will see a new addition to the existing structure, approximately 5300 square feet, on one level. This will include new offices, expanded locker rooms, additional secure storage areas and garage bays and a wellness area. Plans were professionally drawn with all engineering, electrical and plumbing parts included. The expansion of the building will be within the boundaries of our existing property lines.
This expansion of the building will include some room for future growth of the Force given our growing communities.
