- Description:
- The AMP will develop a vision and an accompanying clear, understandable development concept plan based on current realities, expectations and future aspirations. This plan will describe functional areas and the sequence of development (timing) for any additional land uses on the Lacombe Regional Airport lands. A framework will be included on how to implement the development concept, ensure a high level of public engagement, encourage compatible, orderly and efficient growth, address new noise measurement and abatement, and identify buffer zones and areas for future growth as per the City of Lacombe Intermunicipal Development Plan. The purpose of the AMP is to ensure a high-quality built Page 4 of 13 environment by identifying the highest and best use of the facilities and land, promote co-location of compatible services and achieve high building standards and design guidelines. The AMP will identify additional complementary land uses on and adjacent to the Airport lands (e.g. residential suites in hangars, recreational, commercial, and industrial uses) The City will not be hosting an optional pre-proposal meeting or site visit to discuss project specifics. A Proponent may request a pre-proposal meeting or site visit by contacting the City-s Contact identified on the cover page of this RFP up to March 27, 2026.
