Description:
The Town of Sylvan Lake invites Prequalification Submissions from interested GeneralContractors for the construction of upgrades for the South Reservoir PumpingDecommissioning & Modifications CP2308 project. This project includes modificationsto the existing South Reservoir pumping facility that allow for decommissioning of thepumping system and modifications to the Beacon Hill Booster Station so that all pumpingfor the upper and middle pressure zones in the Town is through the Beacon Hill BoosterStation. This project includes deep utility work, site grading work, and work within theSouth Reservoir storage cells as well. This is a multi-year project that will require carefulplanning and execution of the proposed constructability plan which will allow for theupgrades to be done in such a way as to always maintain operation of the SouthReservoir and Beacon Hill Booster Station facilities.It is the intention of the Town to prequalify General Contractors with water retainingunderground reinforced concrete experience and experience with construction, start-up,and commissioning of potable water pump stations.The Prequalification is the first of a two-stage procurement process. This stage involvesselecting the Respondents that meet the requirements of the Prequalification, who will beinvited to submit Bids for the Invitational Bid to be issued at a later date by the Town.
