- The Town of Wasaga Beach is soliciting Requests for Pre-qualification (RFPQ) from those Proponents interested in being considered as Pre-qualified to undertake the Works described herein. The purpose of this RFPQ is to obtain submissions from General Contractors to determine which Proponents are qualified, in the opinion of the Town, to undertake the reconstruction of roadways with Beach Area 1. The Town of Wasaga Beach will be reconstructing its main beachfront area, to update the underground infrastructure as well as renew the look and feel of the street through new architectural features and street furniture. A major component of the work is Beach Drive (approximately 550m in length) will be raised approximately 1.5m by installation of a steel sheet pile wall. Preliminary details of the design may be found and reviewed by the Proponents in the attached 60% design drawings prepared by Tatham Engineering Ltd. Please note that this RFPQ pertains to the first phase of these works, which includes:
- 1st Street
- 3rd Street
- Spruce Street
- Beach Drive
- All related storm sewer works including outlet to the Nottawasaga River
- Reconstruction of boat launch at the end of 2nd Street
