Description : The Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) is responsible for water management throughout the Okanagan Valley Watershed of British Columbia-s Interior. Part of OBWB-s work includes the management of Eurasian watermilfoil through harvesting using milfoil harvester machines. The OBWB intends to conduct a public Request for Proposals (RFP) process during December 2022/January 2023 in order to select and contract with a supplier for the supply of a new milfoil harvester, ideally for delivery by summer 2024 or earlier. There could also be an option in the RFP for a potential second milfoil harvester to be ordered in the next several years, with timing depending on cost of the first harvester. Through the issue of this RFEOI, the OBWB seeks to achieve the following: Engage potential respondents / interested parties, ahead of the upcoming RFP process, so that such parties are familiar with the upcoming RFP; Obtain information specifically regarding amphibious milfoil harvesters available in the market (meaning those milfoil harvesters that are able to move independently between land and water); and Request answers to key questions the OBWB has regarding amphibious milfoil harvesters, or other innovative milfoil harvester solutions, in order to... - Documents :
