• Detailed_Description : Request for Bids (RFB) for Replacement of FRWCI 1625; 50- MNR Standard Bridge, Bonnechere ON
  Scope of Work : BackgroundFRWCI 1625, located on Gunns Road in the Township of Killaloe Hagarty & Richards Lot 32 Concession 10 Richards, near Bonnechere, (the “Existing Bridge”) requires replacement. The Existing Bridge is located 6.6 kilometers from the intersection with Round Lake.The Existing Bridge is a 40- Girder bridge on Timber Abutments. Scope of WorkThe Contractor will replace the Existing Bridge with a 15.2m (50ft) steel stringer bridge on timber crib abutments as further described in the Contract Drawings, and in accordance with all requirements thereof and of the Contract all Requirements of Law (such replacement bridge to be constructed by the Contractor, the “Replacement Bridge”). Without limiting the generality of the foregoing or anything else in the Contract, the Work shall include the supply of all timber, various connectors, nails, drift pins, geofabric, neoprene, aggregate, guardrails and all other materials necessary to construct the Replacement Bridge.DeadlinesThe Contractor may commence the Work at any time beginning five (5) weeks after the posting of applicable notification signage and written notice to the Owner-s applicable district branch.The Contractor shall achieve substantial completion of the Work on or before October 1, 2025. The Contractor shall achieve final completion of the Work on or before October 15, 2025.
