Description:
Overview of the scope of the work: the project consists in short to replace/modify the 4 domestic hot water tanks of 1984 located in the boiler room at the SS1 level, in addition to repairing the leak of the low pressure piping in front of the cooler and validating the needs (calculations to be performed) And to make the necessary fixes, if necessary, to serve the four blocks of downtown dwellings (HCV). It is required to find a solution to increase the heating capacity of these tanks (minimum setpoint at 60 degrees Celsius difficult to reach). By the very fact, the 4 main supply valves of these water heaters will have to be modified because they are not waterproof and it is impossible to isolate the tanks during maintenance work). The study report of the GOC387509 project was completed in 2024 and presented in Annex H.1. THE Study report recommends replacing the bladders, but the hot water needs are barely affected so then it will be necessary to explore an option to replace the existing water heaters with larger ones.
