Detailed_Description : The Palmerston Lake Palmerston Lake Dam (MNR Dam ID #1076) is located at Lot 18, Concession 1 of the Peterborough, Bancroft District, in the Municipal Township of North Frontenac. The UTM coordinates of the dam are 357234 East, 4988743 North, Zone 18T. The work includes the construction of a new concrete deck extension to the dam, installation of a new gantry system, railings, and guardrails.
Scope of Work : •Site preparation, including security and work signage, establish a laydown area, and minor vegetation removal from the site as required.•Design, procure, and install sediment and erosion control and water protection measures for the duration of the project.•Design the installation, operation, and removal of the diversion works/equipment for the corresponding diversion phases.•Construct the deck dam structure extension of the concrete dam deck with a reinforced concrete slab and support to create additional storage for stop logs(including removal and disposal)•Construct a new guardrail to separate the operation deck from the roadway•Construct new Overhead Gantry System, Fall Arrest and Gantry Hoist Storage Box, required for log lifting operation(including removal and disposal)•Removal of all concrete and metal debris.•Removal of diversion measures/water control works. These areas are to be restored to pre-existing condition or better in accordance with Ontario environmental regulations.
