Project Description : Starting January 2022, Alberta Infrastructure will accept electronic bid bonds submitted by bidders as bid security.Electronic bid bonds will be the only form of bid security accepted by Alberta Infrastructure going forward in an effort to increase efficiencies as part of the Government of Alberta-s overall Red Tape Reduction efforts. This initiative will reduce red tape by reducing the need for paper-based bid bonds, reduce the use of couriers, and improve timelines through the electronic delivery of the electronic bid bonds.In the event any other form of bid security will be accepted due to project requirements, they will be specified in issued procurement documents.Alberta Infrastructure-s procurement documents will be updated to reflect these changes in January 2022, and will provide further details about Infrastructure-s bid security requirements.
