- REQUEST FOR TENDER FOR RECREATION BAY BOULDER REMOVAL PROJECT IN KAHNAWÀ:KE, QCRequest for Tender (RFT) submissions will be received at the Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) in Kahnawà:ke, QC. Please provide references for past projects completed for either the Private or Public Sector (e.g. Conservation Authorities, Municipalities, Provincial/Federal Ministries, etc.). There is a Qualification Section in the RFT document that is required as part of the submission. The purpose of this qualification form is to identify qualified general contractors for award of the Recreation Bay Restoration Project (herein ‘the Project-) and to provide references for past projects completed for either the Private or Public Sector (e.g. Conservation Authorities, Municipalities, Provincial/Federal Ministries, etc.).PROJECT OVERVIEWRecreation Bay is located in the Mohawk community of Kahnawà:ke on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. Recreation Bay was created as a by-product of the St. Lawrence seaway construction in the 1950s. Since that time, reduced flowrates in the Bay have resulted in nutrient-rich sediment accumulation, vegetation growth, and limitations to navigation.
