Description:
The Alberta Utilities Commission is seeking proposals for the provision of court reporting transcription services. The proponent will be required to provide equipment and staff necessary to produce real-time daily transcripts of hearings and other AUC events, in AUC-s Calgary office as well as remote locations throughout Alberta. The AUC also occasionally requires real-time transcription services in a non-hearing setting.For AUC hearings, the proponent will be required to provide daily electronic and/or paper copies of the corrected transcript to the AUC and to other parties who contract directly with the proponent for these services. The transcript shall also be uploaded to the AUC regulatory eFiling System, all provided by the end of day. The proponent will work closely with AUC staff and other proponents in a professional, public environment. When hearings are conducted in-camera, proponent personnel may be required to sign confidentiality undertakings.Occasionally, the AUC may decide to purchase the copyright for the transcripts and make them publicly available, rather than requiring hearing participants to purchase the transcript directly. The proponent will be expected to be able to provide this when required.
