Description:
The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (the Regional District) is seeking proposals from qualified proponents in response to this request for proposal (RFP). The RFP is regarding the development of a Parks and Trails Master Plan for Electoral Area G (Houston/Granisle Rural). The Master Plan is intended to serve as a strategy and action plan for recreation, parks, and trails in the rural area. The Master Plan should build on the successes of existing outdoor recreation service providers, identify the role of the Regional District in providing new and improved outdoor recreation services, and establish a priority list of projects and tasks to be undertaken to meet community recreation needs over the next 10 years. The goal is to ensure that the Regional District provides parks and trails services in a coordinated, cooperative, and cost-effective manner at a level that is sustainable for taxpayers.

The Regional District is posting this RFP concurrently with an RFP for a Parks and Trails Master Plan for Electoral Area C (Fort St. James Rural). The Regional District encourages proponents to submit proposals to complete the two Master Plans simultaneously in a manner that maximizes opportunities for project efficiency and cost savings.
