Description : The PSA invites Respondents who are Clinics to submit their proposal for delivering Physiotherapy Services for a Rapid Intervention Treatment (RIT) program for the BC Correction employees across the province. The goal of this program is to facilitate correction's officers' access to treatment services for musculoskeletal injuries and disorders. Currently, workers may face obstacles in accessing treatment services due to not having access to a family doctor or are facing long wait times to get an appointment. Additionally, financial barriers may be present when accessing treatment services. Physiotherapists are allied health professionals that address illness or injuries that limit a person's ability to move and perform functional activities. Their body of work largely addresses musculoskeletal injuries and they are effective at improving outcomes related to pain and function. By providing immediate access to Physiotherapists, the worker will sooner be able to be assessed and treated. By limiting the time between injury and treatment, we can support corrections officers return to health and meaningful activities.
