  • Located off the coast of Walton, Nova Scotia near the mouth of the Walton River there are four (4) railcars that need removal and disposal. Abandoned by a bankrupt tidal project, the railcars are now presenting a navigational hazard, and residents want them removed.The Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (“FORCE”), working with the Province of Nova Scotia (the “Province”), invites proposals for the planning, removal, and environmentally responsible disposal of four (4) concrete-filled railcars and their associated crushed rock bases located near Walton, Nova Scotia.Proposals must be submitted electronically through the bidding system at: www.merx.com. Submissions by other methods may be rejected. In the event of any technical issues, proponents should contact the bidding system-s technical support.
