T8080-240172 ADVANCE CONTRACT AWARD NOTICE An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services, or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier(s). 1. TITLE Railcar-Based Service and Performance Metrics 2. OBJECTIVE Transport Canada seeks a subscription to a Data Platform, a full-featured interactive data service and web dashboard that provides comprehensive car-based service and performance metrics. This Platform must collect data in near real-time on the movement and performance of nearly 500,000 cars per month using a mix of proprietary sensors installed directly on cars, railway-provided locomotive tracking feeds, and Car Location Messages, the standard way in which the industry provides car tracking data to its customers. 3.
