Description:
SUMMARY:
Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the City of Merritt (the “City”) invites Proposals from experienced civil contracting firms, to perform construction services for the City-s proposed Quilchena Alley Watermain Replacement Project (the ‘Project-), that focuses on replacing an existing 50mm galvanized water main. The Project is in the City of Merritt and will replace the existing water main with a new 100mm PVC water main to provide domestic water servicing along Quilchena Alley. Full details of the Work required is provided in Part A of this RFP.
Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates required for the Work:
The Work may commence anytime on or after: October 20 2025Substantial Performance of the Work: must be achieved no later than November 7, 2025Total Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than 20 calendar days following Substantial Performance.Form of Contract: The Contract placed as a result of this RFP will be the MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents) 2019 Edition Unit Price Contract, together with supplementary conditions as detailed in Part C of this RFP.
