Quick Response Source List for Geotechnical Engineering Services1. Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is inviting consulting firms to apply to be placed on a quick response consultant source list to provide “as and when required” professional services related to commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional construction work required by the Department of National Defence, at 19 Wing, CFB Comox, Lazo, BC.2. DCC plans to establish a source list for Geotechnical Engineering services. Typical services consist of the following:a. Arrange and supervise drilling of boreholes, including coordination of all sub- contractors;b. Perform subsurface geotechnical investigations and analysis, including test holes and bore logs to establish geotechnical characteristics, strength and design parameters;c. Perform subsurface inspections, testing and analysis, including water and soil sampling for potential contamination;d. Install groundwater monitoring wells and collect groundwater samples;e. Conduct erosion control studies, analysis and design;f. Conduct drainage studies, analysis and design;g. Investigate seismic considerations for foundation designs;h. Prepare and submit geotechnical reports, including design recommendations.3. Only consulting firms with offices within 100 km of 19 Wing Comox will be considered for inclusion in a source list.
