Description:
With this RFP, SaskPower intends to hire a contractor to complete the following work at Ash Storage Cells located near SaskPower's Poplar River Power Station, near Coronach, Saskatchewan. (i) Removal of the existing Kelly's Dyke and the two existing 1000 mm Corrugated Steel Pipes currently installed in Kelly's Dyke; (ii) Preparation of a rip rap armored trapezoidal channel, located between Cell 3N and Cell 3S at the location of Kelly's Dyke; (iii) Improvements to the access road along the east side of Cell 2; (iv) The installation of a box culvert control system between Cell 4W and Cell 3S; (v) The decommissioning of the existing control structure located between Cell 4W and Cell 3S; (vi) Excavation of material from Cell 5. SaskPower will determine whether the excavated material is suitable for dry stacking. Excavated material will be deposited in Cell 1, Cell 2, and Cell 4W South; (vii) Clay cap and topsoil placement on the ash stored in Cell 1, Cell 2 and Cell 4W South.
