- This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba ("Manitoba"), as represented by the Department of Public Service Delivery, Capital Project Planning and Delivery ("CPPD") on behalf of the Owner of the project, Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation ("Owner") to prospective General Contractors to submit proposals for the demolition of an existing 6-unit townhouse building and the construction of a new 6-unit townhouse at 15 Marlene Street, along with associated minor works at 9, 11 and 17 Marlene Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the "Work").In consideration of Manitoba's procurement policies and applicable trade agreements, for this Solicitation, preference will be given to Canadian suppliers who have submitted compliant submissions meeting all essential requirements of the solicitation. Manitoba may re-issue this tender at its sole discretion.Manitoba and the Contractor acknowledge and agree that, upon contract award, the Contractor shall collaborate with Manitoba to identify and procure an alternative product in cases where a non-Canadian manufactured product has been proposed. Alternative products made in Canada will be preferred and must be equivalent in quality and performance to the originally specified product, where possible.
