Description:
The Toronto District School Board is a public school board operating in the City of Toronto, in the Province of Ontario. It is the largest school board in Canada and the fourth largest in North America. The TDSB operates approximately 584 schools and provides educational services to approximately 246,000 students each year and employs approximately 40,000 employees. The workforce is largely unionized, with the majority of employees belonging to numerous bargaining units.
The Toronto District School Board in conjunction with the Toronto Catholic School Board intends to secure contracts with qualified Bidders for Ice Melting Material and Bagged Salt Products for Delivery to Various TDSB and TCDSB Schools. The Ice Melting Material, Bagged Salt and related products for TDSB and the TCDSB shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined on this tender document.
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the Toronto Catholic School Board (TCDSB) are requesting submissions from suppliers of bagged salt, calcium and other Ice Melting products on an ‘as needed- basis. It is at the sole discretion of TDSB and TCDSB to award contracts to as many suppliers as it deems necessary. Combined, there are over 800 delivery sites within the GTA (some sites, such as outdoor Education Centers are located outside of the GTA).
