Description:
Provision of Environmental Well Installations at Closed LandfillsD2. SCOPE OF WORKD2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:(a) drilling of 5” boreholes for 2” PVC bedrock wells(b) drilling of 2” PVC gas wells at various landfills around the city of Winnipeg.(c) Installation of 2” perforated PVC of various lengths and 2” solid PVC of various total lengths.(d) Backfill of 5” hole with silica sand to various depths and bentonite plugging media to various depths in accordance with the Groundwater and Water Well Act, the supporting document Constructing and Sealing Wells in Manitoba. There are four (4) sites in total that are specified below in D2.2.D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:(a) Shaftsbury Blvd. Dump Site - Utility Locates, Installation and Registration of three (3) Landfill Gas/Shallow Wells and two (2) Bedrock Wells.(b) Charleston St. (Community Row) Dump - Utility Locates, Installation and Registration of three (3) Landfill Gas/Shallow Wells and two (2) Bedrock Wells.(c) Charleswood Rd. (South) Landfill Site - Utility Locates, Installation and Registration of seven (7) Landfill Gas/Shallow Wells and two (2) Bedrock Wells.(d) Corydon - Osborne Dump Site - Utility Locates, Installation and Registration of one (1) Landfill Gas/Shallow Well.
