Description : SCOPE OF THE WORK The Work includes bearing re-babbitting services, on an as and when required basis. Description of ITEMS and requirements of the Work below are provided as an example and general overview, detailed Purchaser-s Requirements are provided in the Technical Requirements and the subsequent Service Release Order (SRO): ITEM 1: Kettle Generator Guide Bearing ITEM 2: Grand Rapids Turbine Bearing ITEM 3: Kettle Thrust Bearing NOTE: The ITEMs above are provided as references for pricing information only. ITEM Requirements: Remove all existing babbitt from the inner surface of the shell or pad. Clean the shell in preparation for tinning. Document the condition of the shell. Apply new tin and Babbitt. Machine as per the drawing including all details and features such as grooves, holes, etc. in the surface of the Babbitt. Provide and arrange inspections for a certified third party to inspect the bearing and confirm that the criteria for babbitt bond and surface porosity are met. Provide all other quality assurance documentation. Package the bearing as per the Technical Specification.
