Description:
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is seeking a vendor to deliver a service that provides a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) dataset and corresponding vehicle information, which can be configured, modified, and/or extended to support the Ministry's needs. The Ministry of Transportation oversees the vehicle registration process in the Province of Ontario, which utilizes VIN data during the initial registration of vehicles. The Ministry accesses the VIN dataset to identify and retrieve vehicle-specific information to populate during the registration process. Given the on average of 1 million new vehicle registrations in Ontario per year, VIN data enables the Ministry to automate, streamline, and minimize errors in the vehicle registration process. Scope of Work MTO is seeking a vendor that can deliver a data service model and/or customized solutions for VIN data that aligns with the Ministry's business and technical functions specifically relating to the delivery of VIN data daily throughout the year to support the vehicle registration process. The estimated contract start date is the Spring of 2026.
