Description:
The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) is seeking a Vendor to prepare a report on managing wastes and recycled products that may contain Chemicals of Concern (COCs) or other selected chemicals in the Province of Ontario. The purpose of this report will be to increase theMinistry's knowledge base with respect to: (a) the types and concentrations of COCs or any of the other selected chemicals in the products that may be disposed of in municipal landfills and or recycled (e.g., Blue Box Waste), (b) the amount of waste products that contain the chemicals referred to in(a) and, (c) disposal and treatment technologies (including Best Management Practices) to reduce the release of COCs or any of the other selected chemicals to the environment. The Vendor shall include Province of Ontario-specific considerations such as climatic conditions, Province of Ontario-specificcost parameters and products entering/leaving the province. Scope of Work The Vendor will be required to prepare a "Managing Chemicals in Wastes and Recycled Products Report" by undertaking the following deliverables: • A comprehensive review of the relevant literature and national and internationalprograms and policies (primarily conducted by desktop / internet-based research) that includes recent and up-to-date reports, case studies, conference proceedings, academic articles, and pilot projects to obtain information on the: (a) concentrations, loads, and/or inventories of COCs or any ofthe...
