Description:
Request for Bids (RFB) for the provision of construction service for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for the complete removal and replacement of the Longlegged River Bridge Replacement, on Longlegged Lake Road, approximately 85 km northwest of Ear Falls, Ontario. Scope of Work The Contractorshall remove and replace the existing Bridge with a new 24.4m (80ft) MNR-standard steel stringer bridge on MNR-standard timber cribs, all as more particularly specified in the Contract Drawings, which consist of site-specific drawings ("2023076_IFC_Longlegged-River-BridgeDwgs_2025-01-29.pdf") specificto the Bridge and generic drawings ("MNR_IFC_StandardBridgeDrawings_(Metric)_REV1_2019-06-28") outlining MNR-standards to be followed where not inconsistent with the site-specific drawings. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing: The Contractor may only perform Bridge removal and replacementwork between July 1st, 2025 and October 31st, 2025. Mandatory Site Meeting: Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (Toronto Time) The mandatory site meeting will be held at the site of the Longlegged River Bridge, located on Longlegged Lake Road, located approximately 85km Northwest of Ear Falls inKenora District at UTM Zone 15U 5624216N 421205E. A location map can be found in the Contract Drawing titled ‘ 2023076_IFC_Longlegged-River-Bridge-Dwgs_2025-01-29.pdf" at page G-4 thereof.
