Description:
The Ministry of the Solicitor General (the “ministry”) is interested in hearing from the manufacturing sector on the current and future market capabilities, conditions, innovations, and obstacles as related to mobile fire training units design, development, build, maintenance, and general/special goods/services to support government operations as detailed in the Request for Information (RFI), that could be configured, and/or adapted to support the needs of the ministry. This RFI is open to all individuals/organizations that may have industry expertise or currently support and supply the same or similar prop unit(s). Scope of Work The mobile training prop is envisioned to support the effectiveness of firefighter-s response capacity, and to build on the effectiveness of training that the fire service receives in this field. These units will allow firefighters to train and thereby more effectively respond to lithium-ion related incidents through scenarios that is meant to mimic real life scenarios. The ministry is seeking industry feedback to provide additional context on the challenges, requirements, and other information in developing and building a lithium-ion / electric vehicle fire training unit.
