Description : RFT for the rebuild of five (5) Rolls Royce Auqamaster Azimuth thrusters between the Wolfe Islander III (3 thrusters) and the Frontenac II (2 thrusters). Scope of Work Removal of old gear oil and filters and disposal by contractor - oil has been drained but hoses and filter housings still contain oil. Completely disassemble thruster, clean all aspects of the thruster - this includes the hydraulic system and its components & inspect bearing seats, painted surfaces. MTO will determine if hydraulic motor and pump are to be replaced. All hydraulic hoses and their fittings to be replaced with new ones by contractor. Thruster is to be rebuilt with new OEM parts supplied by MTO. Vendor is to use new fasteners smaller than M12. All old parts (seals, bearings, gears, etc) will be kept for inspection by MTO and other authorized representative(s). Any magnesium anodes missing or need of replacing will be welded on. Refill with 430 liters of Petro-Canada Enduratex EP68 after rebuild is complete (to be supplied by contractor). Paint wetted surface of thruster will be wire brushed and cleaned before new MTO approved coating is applied - Paint (epoxy) supplied by Vendor.
