Description : The Hardware will consolidate the IBM mainframe CPUs and Virtual Tape Libraries currently used in Ministry facilities located at: (i) Kingston Data Centre (KDC), in Kingston Ontario, (ii) Guelph Data Centre (GDC), in Guelph Ontario. The Ministry-s DASD will also be consolidated at the GDC but no additional DASD hardware is in scope or required for this procurement. Migration services for the replication of the data between KDC and GDC is required and described in Section 1.3.5. The Vendor shall also provide Professional Services to migrate both existing Mainframe Environments to the newly procured Mainframe Environment. In addition, Optional Professional Services for IBM Operating System (O/S) and database software upgrades may be required. Scope of Work This RFB is intended to select select one (1) Vendor to provide and install one (1) new mainframe Hardware solution and one (1) new VTL at the GDC and for the Vendor to provide Upgrades, Maintenance and Support Services for mainframes and Virtual Tape Library (VTL) for a term of up three (3) years plus two (2) optional extensions up to one year each.
