Description : * Notice of Planned Procurement * In the next few weeks, Ontario Health (OH) on behalf of Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) intends to release an RFB for the Renting of Medical Equipment for Homecare Patients across Ontario. OH intends to issue the full RFB as an update to this notice on the Ontario Tenders Portal. The scope of the RFB will include supply, maintenance, delivery, set up and pick-up of basic medical equipment in the following categories to support patients receiving care at home: 1. Beds (beds, rollators, mattresses, etc.); 2. Mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.); 3. Bath aids (commodes, bath seats, etc.); and 4. Lifts, slings, and transfer devices. Bidders will be expected to rent this equipment to HCCSS and perform related tasks such as sanitation, upkeep, inventory management and re-deployment of equipment. HCCSS intends to award the contract resulting from this RFB to a successful Bidder(s) that can service the entire province of Ontario. The term of any resulting contract will be for a period of three (3) years, with an option to extend for up to two (2) additional years.
