The purpose of this Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to determine if there are other proponents capable of meeting the requirements of the procurement for the following equipment for HMMS, on behalf of LHSC Manufacturer: Massimo Brand Name: Root with Next Generation SedLIne and O3 Regional Oximetry Purpose: Brain monitoring; cerebral oxygenation monitoring Scope of Work Next Generation SedLine helps clinicians monitor the state of the brain under anesthesia with bilateral data acquisition and processing of four channels of frontal electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. The system includes the Patient State Index (PSi), a process EEG parameter related to the effect of anesthetic agents. O3 Regional Oximetry may help clinicians monitor cerebral oxygenation in situations in which peripheral pulse oximetry alone may not be fully indicative of the oxygen in the brain HMMS intends to award a 5-year term contract for the above equipment to Massimo
