Description : The objective of this RFB is for the Vendor to supply and deliver one (1) new real-time monitoring system for the analysis and continuous monitoring of VOCs, specifically benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (“BTEX”) and 1,3-butadiene, in ambient air at trace levels using a gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector (“GC-FID”), as well as associated system components for operation of the instruments (including, but not limited to, communications modules, a hydrogen generator, dilution module, and zero air generator) (collectively each a “GC-FID VOC monitoring system”). The provision of the GC-FID VOC monitoring system is to support the Ministry-s ambient air monitoring programs. Scope of Work The Ministry currently conducts continuous monitoring of air contaminants at monitoring stations in the Hamilton area with monitors capable of producing hourly data that can be made available to the public in near-real time on the Hamilton Air Monitoring Network website.
