Description : RFP for the provision of the supply, delivery, and installation of a Next-Generation Sequencer used for DNA sequencing to support forest health research and monitoring projects for the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry. Scope of Work A next-generation sequencing platform is required for high-throughput DNA and RNA sequencing. Samples to be sequenced will mostly consist of plant parts, soil, and insects collected from the forest. The instrument will be used in supporting multiple projects, including forest disease diagnostics, mapping the spread of forest pathogens, predicting disease outbreaks, monitoring invasive species, and other forest health and monitoring projects. The instrument must be on site at 1235 Queen Street East, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario P6A 2E5, Canada by May 31st, 2022. It must be operational within 30 days of delivery, and user training should be conducted within the same time frame.
