Description : This Request for Information (“RFI”), is issued by Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario as represented by the Solicitor General (hereafter the “Ministry”), for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management (OFMEM) in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. Suppliers are asked to respond to the Ministry and provide the information requested. Scope of Work The Ministry is issuing this RFI to gather information to assist in the development of specifications to be used for a future open-competitive procurement process to replace aging field portable Computed Radiography (CR) x-ray systems. These devices are used for field and laboratory non-destructive investigations of items ranging from “one-shot” overtemperature limiting devices and plastic cams in stove controls to steel cylinder contents, interior components of brass valves and whole vehicles. Radiographs are often captured in dirty, wet, fire and/or explosion damaged buildings.
