Description : Renewal of Ontario-s agricultural soil resource information (maps and data) will require the use of new data sources and technologies to expedite and improve predictive digital soil mapping methods and end products. Airborne gamma-ray spectrometry is a new technology that provides information on some soil properties (clay, soil carbon) and the spatial variability of those properties. It is an important mechanism by which to collect high-resolution spatial soil properties information. Scope of Work This procurement will request the services of an airborne radiometric service provider to complete a pilot survey in Peterborough County. The survey will take place in the summer/fall of 2021. The radiometric survey results and data will be used in further developing digital soil mapping methods and updating historic soil maps for the County.
