• Description:
• Public Health Ontario (PHO) has a requirement for the supply of quantitative strips for determining the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of antimicrobial agents against microorganisms to indicate appropriate patient treatment, and antibiotic discs for detecting the ESBL resistance mechanisms. PHO is seeking to establish a contract with one (1) Vendor for supply of all eight (8) of the following products; • Penicillin G 0.002-32 • Clindamycin 0.016-256 • Cefoxitin 0.016-256 • Metronidazole 0.016-256 • Meropenem 0.002-32 • Minocycline 0.016-256 • Piperacillin-tazobactam 0.016/4-256/4 • Extended spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) Detection Discs set containing below antibiotic discs: o Cefoxitin 30 µg o Ceftazidime 30 µg o Ceftazidime with Clavulanic acid 30 µg +10 µg o Cefotaxime 30 µg o Cefotaxime with Clavulanic acid 30 µg +10 µg PHO is seeking to establish a long-term agreement for supply of these products, over a term of two (2) firm years plus three (3) one-year option terms.
