Description:
The City of Medicine Hat is requesting proposals from accounting firms to audit the financial statements and annual reports, as well as prepare the information returns for the City of Medicine Hat and the Medicine Hat Airport for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023. Additionally, the City would like proposals to include the audit services and financial statement preparation for the Medicine Hat Public Library, and for preparation of Allied Oil & Gas Corp. Income Tax Returns for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023; with an option of auditing these financial statements and completion of tax returns for each of the four (4) subsequent fiscal years upon mutual agreement and approval by City of Medicine Hat Council. In addition to the previously mentioned services, this request also includes triennial audit services relating to the Local Authorities Pension Plan Compliance Audit, Special Forces Pension Plan, and Family and Community Support Services Program. These audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards as well as the following additional requirements:(A) Generally accepted accounting principles for Municipal Government established by the Public Sector Accounting Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Canada.(B) Any modification of the principles or any supplementary accounting standards or principles established by the Minister for regulation.The successful proponent is expected to review the introductory sec...
