Description:
The City is seeking detailed bids from qualified engineering consulting firms to provide professional and technical services to complete the following:
Project 1: Schedule B Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study and 30% Preliminary Design for the easterly extension of Square One Drive from Hurontario Street to Rathburn Road, and a new Public road extension from Square One Drive to Shipp Drive, including associated intersections and active transportation.
Project 2: Schedule B Class EA Study and 30% Preliminary Design for the easterly extension of City Centre Drive from east of Kariya Gate to Hurontario Street, and southerly Public road connection from City Centre Drive (south of Robert Speck Parkway) to Burnhamthorpe Road, including associated intersections and active transportation infrastructure.
Project 3: Provisional 30% Preliminary Design for the ultimate (2041) cycling infrastructure within the Downtown, subject to the City-s concurrent Cycling Master Plan Update. The Downtown is generally bounded by Highway 403 to the north, Chalfield Lane/Shipp Drive/Robert Speck Parkway to the east, Burnhamthorpe Road/Elm Drive to the south, and Grand Park Drive/Wallenberg Crescent/Rathburn Road to the west.
The Class EA Study and Preliminary Design for Projects 1 and 2 are to be completed in accordance with the “Municipal Class Environmental Assessment” document by the Municipal Engineers Association (2024).
