Description : The Cape Breton Regional Municipality is requesting proposals for the processing and marketing (for a beneficial use), of tree material collected during the hurricane Fiona clean-up. It is requested that all submissions are a lump sum fixed price, including taxes, for the completed project, which may include, but is not limited to: Supply equipment such as grinder, chipper, shredder, excavator, etc. required to complete the work, as well as, marketing of the material for a beneficial use such as (but not limited to), Waste to Energy, composting, Anaerobic Digestion, Mulch, etc. The material is currently stored in a location separate from the existing waste management facility. This site is located on the former steel plant site in Sydney Nova Scotia. The material is piled in windrows which have a total length of approximately 700 meters. The windrows are approximately 10 meters wide and four meters high. The windrows have approximately 10 metre rows between them. The bid shall be based on the bidder-s satisfying themselves by personal inspection, examination, calculations, or by other means as they prefer, as to the actual volume, conditions, and requirements of the work.
