Description:
RRC Polytech is seeking proposals from Prime Consultants for the Window Glazing Replacement Project at the Roblin Centre Campus aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and functionality of campus facilities. This project will involve the removal of the glazing, seals and spacers while reusing the existing frames and pressure caps. The design shall comply with current building codes, incorporate sustainability standards and explore options for bird-safe glass solutions. As part of the Prime Consultant's team, allow for the retainment of a professional structural consultant to assess and verify the structural integrity of the existing plaza and roof systems required to support equipment for installation of the new windows. The scope of work includes detailed assessments of current window conditions, design specifications, window details, window schedules, and the installation of energy-efficient glazing system(s) that work together to minimize heat transfer, reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling, and improve overall thermal comfort. It is essential that the selected consultant demonstrates experience with similar projects in educational environments and is knowledgeable about the latest advancements in window technology.
