Tender are invited for Prime Consultant UV Airborne Disinfection System Installation
Project Description : In response to the coronavirus pandemic, AGLC retained WSP, an engineering consultant, to conduct a report to identify how to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the existing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for the AGLC-s three owned facilities, all located in St. Albert- 50 Corriveau Avenue, 30 Calder Place, and 2 Boudreau Road.WSP-s report recommended that the most suitable airborne disinfection system (“ADS”) would be a high intensity Ultraviolet Energy (UV-C) Light type. The proposed ADS will be equipped with high-output UV-C lamps that kill airborne pathogens, and the lamps will be installed into the existing HVAC ducts.The intent of the RFP is to seek a prime consultant who, along with their assembled team, will be responsible for the development of all required consulting disciplines (electrical, mechanical, and general coordination or any other specialties) to design and prepare tender documents for the installation of the ADS as well as the services to conduct the construction administration of the project by a future contractor.The successful proponent of the RFP will be expected to appoint a project lead who will interface with the AGLC-s project manager. This interface will be the formal and principal point of contact and communication between the successful proponent and the AGLC during all phases of the project.The anticip...
