Description:
The City invites bids from qualified architectural firms to provide complete consulting services for the design and implementation of New Glenforest Youth Hub, located at Glenforest Secondary School, 3575 Fieldgate Drive, Mississauga ON.
Through the process described in this RFP, the City will select a qualified architectural firm to act as the prime consultant, having total responsibility for all necessary sub-consulting services, including but not being limited to engineering disciplines, building envelope design, building code expertise, interior design, space planning, accessibility design, landscape design, cost estimating, to provide full consulting services to plan, coordinate, design, produce contract documents, implement and administer the construction contract for this project.
The City intends to construct either a ‘Net Zero Energy Building- or a ‘Net Zero Building- and will require the consulting team to provide a brief study as part of the scope of services on the feasibility and cost / benefits analysis of each option, to inform the City on how to proceed.
Bidders shall refer to Schedule B - Architect-s Services (in Appendix C) for details.
The anticipated construction cost is approximately $16 million (excl. net HST).
