- The City invites bids from qualified architectural firms to provide complete consulting services for the design and implementation of the Erin Meadow Community Centre Renewal Project, located at 2800 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga ON.
Through the process described in this RFP, the City will select a qualified architectural firm to act as the prime consultant, having total responsibility for all necessary sub-consulting services, including but not being limited to engineering disciplines, building envelope design, building code expertise, furniture selection, accessibility design, and cost estimating, to provide full consulting services to plan, coordinate, design, produce contract documents, implement and administer the construction contract for the redevelopment of the project.
The scope of work includes:
Renewal of existing library flooring throughoutThe addition of a new studio and makerspace within the libraryAsphalt, concrete sidewalk, pavers and curb repairs throughout the south, east, and north ends of the propertyRemoval of intrusive vegetation from library exteriorReplacement of exterior hollow-metal doors along the east perimeter of the buildingMasonry rectification along the east perimeter of the buildingMechanical equipment renewals within the pool basement, including but not limited to the replacement of the existing sand filters to regenerative.Assessment of existing pool structure condition, and recommended repairsPool changeroom tile renewalComplete roofing renewal of the existing community centre, pool and libraryReplacement of glazing & spandrel unitsExit sign replacement throughout facility

The design and contract documents will be completed in a single phase whereas the tender packages and construction will be implemented into two phases to accommodate planned shut-downs with the Library and Pool areas.
