Description : General Contractors and Civil Sub-Contractorsare invited to submit PRE-QUALIFICATION information for the proposed terminalexpansion and airside pavement rehabilitation at the Region of WaterlooInternational Airport, located at 4881 Fountain St. N in Breslau, ON.As outlined in the 2017 Region ofWaterloo International Airport (ROWIA) Master Plan, a terminal expansion at thecurrent Air Terminal Building (ATB) is required to support increased passengertraffic once a specific trigger has been reached. The currently planned expansionis intended to accommodate up to 1,000,000 passengers per year from the currentdesign capacity of approximately 250,000 passengers per year.Passenger traffic is anticipated tostart increasing in June of 2021 with airlines beginning operations atYKF. Currently available and forecastedflight schedules illustrate the need for increased capacity by October of 2021and into next year.To meet these expedited timelines, theterminal expansion project will be conducted in two discrete phases. The first will be the expansion ofoperational square footage for the facility through the procurement andinstallation of two Modular Relocatable Structures as well as airside pavementrehabilitation.
