- The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is soliciting submissions for Professional Services to provide prequalification services on an “as needed” basis for facility renewal projects. The intent is to select firms to provide services on a project by project basis based on the scope of work.
Generally, geotechnical services will include, but not limited to the following:
Determine the thickness and condition for existing pavement areas, and determine thickness and character, including the modulus of resilience (MPa), density, moisture content, and maximum permissible bearing capacity, of existing site sub‐soils, as identified in the site-specific requirements.Determine elevation of groundwater table and construction dewatering requirements.Provide a range of options and recommendations for the most cost-effective solution for the restoration of each site related to design and construction for paved asphalt parking lots and driveways, asphalt play surfaces or artificial turf fields or drainage systems, foundation and/or footing design, as identified in the site-specific requirements. Determine MOE classification of existing site soils for planned re-use and for disposal purposes. Determine MOE classification of groundwater quality to inform disposal methods as applicable.Conduct an environmental analysis as applicable in accordance with the MOE Guidelines, Hydrogeological Study, percolation rate testing, as identified in the site-specific requirements.Preparation of reports of the findings and results of the investigations and analysis.Address all site-specific requirements in the reports.Secure and pay all fees which may be required to conduct the geotechnical investigation. The site shall be restored to its original state upon completion of work. Ensure all excess soils generated from drilling are not left at the school and any excess soil handling must meet applicable regulations.Provide material testing and inspection services during construction.Hire, co-... - Documents:
