Description:
The preparatory HPLC will be capable of purifying large amounts of crude mixtures of organic compounds including small molecules, new drug species, carbohydrates, optical imaging probes, peptides (both linear and cyclic or stapled), cannabinoids,fatty acids and other alkyl-derived compounds. Importantly, the multidetector capability will allow all variety of compounds to be evaluated and for the identification of specific peaks and/or elution times to be collected by a liquid handling robot. This liquid handling robot can serve as fraction collector, autosampler, and can re-inject collected fraction samples to evaluate fraction purity, in effect semi-automating compound purification. This system should be compatible with LabSolutions LCGC Workstation due to legacy data collected with this software package over the last decade.The instrument should allow for a broad range of flow rates (0.01 to 150 mL/min), with syringe pump rinsing between injections, operating with high flow rate accuracy and good flow rate precision. The HPLC must be able to accommodate up to 2 g of maximum injection load on a 25 cm long, 50 mm I.D. column. The HPLC system must be capable of automated purity checks of the collected samples. The liquid handling system must be capable of both sampling and fraction collection, and fraction re-analysis must be automated. The liquid handler must minimize sample carryover between injections, and the injection needle must be able to detect the liquid surface level...
