- FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTPRE-TENDER NOTICEFor Upcoming Tendering Opportunity of Runway 09-27 Rehabilitation, at the Fredericton International Airport.The Runway 09-27 Rehabilitation project will be scheduled to commence approximately May 2026 and must be substantially completed by approximately September 30, 2026. A general site plan and list of major elements to be included within the work are as described below:The works proposed under this contract for the rehabilitation of Runway 09-27 generally include:- 8,005ft Asphalt Runway Rehabilitation: partial and full depth asphalt removal, granular placement and compaction, asphalt paving, pavement line marking installation, restoration, installation of new electrical components such as all runway edgelights, PAPIs and windsocks, installation of new airfield conduits, cabling and pullpits, installation of new approach lighting towers and fixtures and installation of new airfield guidance signs.- Runway End Safey Area (RESA) Construction: Topsoil stripping, earth excavation and grading, granular placement and compaction and restoration at three (3) runway end locations.Tender Documents will be available on Merx approximately January 19, 2026.All additional details regarding the project will be provided with the tender release.
