- FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTPRE-TENDER NOTICEfor Upcoming Tender Opportunity ofRunway 15-33 Extension, at Fredericton International AirportThe Runway 15-33 Extension project will be scheduled to commence approximately June, 2025 and must be substantially completed by approximately September 19, 2025. A general site plan and list of major elements to be included within the work area are as described below:The works proposed under this contract for the extension of Runway 15-33 generally include:- 1,000ft Asphalt Runway Extension: asphalt removal, topsoil stripping, earth excavation and grading, new storm sewers and structures, granular placement and compaction, asphalt paving, pavement line marking removal and installation, restoration, removal and reinstallation of electrical components such as PAPIs and windsock, installation of new airfield lighting, conduits, cabling and pullpits- Runway End Safety Area (RESA) Construction: topsoil stripping, earth excavation and grading, granular placement and compaction and restorationTender Documents will be available on Merx approximately April 9, 2025.
