  • The Multi-scale Additive Manufacturing (MSAM) Laboratory at the University of Waterloo plans to acquire an advanced integrated powder-based laser directed energy deposition (LDED) system, along with a compatible 3D scanner. These state-of-the-art systems will be essential for cutting-edge research and development projects, carried out in collaboration with highly esteemed industrial partners. The systems will support a variety of applications, pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing technologies.Given the strategic importance of this acquisition, the University places significant emphasis on both the quality of the equipment and the reputation of the vendor.
