Description : The Salt Spring Island Fire Protection District (“District”) is an improvement district that provides fire protection services to much of Salt Spring Island, BC. In 2015 the Fire Underwriters Survey (FUS) issued a report (“FUS Report”) that, among other items, raised concerns regarding the availability of water for fire flow purposes. The District seeks to explore the option of a portable pumping apparatus to address the identified water supply shortfall. SPECIFICATIONS The pump must be portable for usage island wide. Trailer mounted and ready for rapid deployment in multiple water sources. The ability to safely and effectively draft both fresh water and salt water. A minimum flow of 3800 US GPM (3100 IMP GAL).
